The dream of an esportsman and streamer: IKEA showed a project for a gaming apartment

Video games have long become the dominant digital entertainment around the world, and according to analysts, more than 65 million gamers currently live in Russia. And for many of them, gaming is an essential element of leisure, recreation or even work – the number of streamers and esports players has grown exponentially recently. And to make this audience comfortable not only to live, but also to do what they love with pleasure, IKEA created a cyber-apartment project based on the example of a standard Russian apartment – a dwelling that has a comfortable play area with everything you need and more.

The new gaming project was created by the company’s specialists within the framework of the “Apartment Library” – this is a special library with sets of free design projects. In this library, you can, for example, choose the number of rooms, the square of each room and not only in order to ultimately get a finished design project – all that remains is to make repairs, order and arrange furniture. There you can also find the “cyber apartment” project – IKEA designers used furniture and additional accessories from a special gaming collection, created in partnership with ASUS ROG, when creating it.

Surprisingly, in the gaming project, IKEA paid attention not only to games – Cyberkvartira was designed so that, in addition to visiting virtual worlds, it was possible to lead a healthy and active lifestyle without leaving your home. For example, attention was paid to the recreation area and quality sleep, sports activities within the apartment, storage of things and other everyday moments. Of course, all this is done in a proprietary game format, but the main functions of the apartment have not disappeared anywhere.

You can explore the complete collection of products for gamers on the official IKEA website.
