The economy still needs central bank support – WSJ

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Robert Kaplan, He noted that the US economy still needs the support of the Federal Reserve, Reuters reported.

Kaplan was optimistic about the economy and forecast growth of 6.5% this year. He said he agreed with what the Fed is doing in terms of asset purchases and overall policy stance.

The official added that reducing the stimulus when the pandemic eases and more economic advances are made, will help maintain the recovery.
