EK, a computer cooling solutions company, has unveiled the EVGA XC3 RTX 3070 graphics card waterblock. It’s called the EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 D-RGB.

The water block removes heat from the GPU, video memory located on the same side of the PCB, chokes, and voltage regulators included in the power subsystem. The manufacturer notes the optimized trajectory of the coolant flow, which reduces hydrodynamic instability and eliminates the occurrence of dead zones that negatively affect cooling efficiency. Low hydraulic resistance allows the water block to be used with low power pumps. EK notes that unlike similar products from some competitors, the EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 D-RGB waterblock works equally well in any direction of flow.

The base of the waterblock is made of copper and nickel-plated, while the top and terminal, depending on the version, are made of black or transparent plastic. Also, the number of backlight LEDs depends on the option – five or twelve, respectively. The addressable LED backlight is compatible with popular control systems.
Additionally, EK offers a rear panel that enhances the look of the graphics card and provides additional passive cooling for components.

Waterblock EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi costs 175 euros, EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 D-RGB – Nickel + Acetal – 170 euros. The EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 Backplate – Black is priced by the manufacturer at 43 euros, and the EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 Backplate – Nickel – at 50 euros. Acceptance of pre-orders has already begun. Shipping should start in mid-May.
