The Ellinikon supports the Athens Epidaurus Festival 2022

The regeneration of Hellinikon is a landmark project for the country, inspired by the vision of a new way of life for all citizens where culture and the arts play a dominant role. Serving this vision and mission, The Ellinikon enters into a strategic partnership with the Athens Epidaurus Festival, which in its long history has established itself as a pillar of culture in Greece and internationally. The Festival, one of the most historic in Europe, has hosted the most important creators and artists of Music, Dance and Theater of the Greek and international scene, attracting thousands of spectators from all over the world.

The Athens Epidaurus Festival, held this year from June 1st to August 20th, offers a unique program of prestigious artistic events. For the first time, The Ellinikon Experience Park will host artistic activities of the Athens Epidaurus Festival.

In particular, dance lovers will enjoy on Thursday, July 28 “The Big Cypher”, a different dance performance, curated by Ilias Hatzigeorgiou (dancer, choreographer and Festival Dance consultant), where professional hip hop & street dancers stage dance will meet in a ‘battle’, i.e. a “dance duel” which will juggle between improvisation, performance and play. Accordingly, jazz lovers will enjoy on Friday, July 29, a unique musical evening, with the jazz sextet of Nikos Hatjitsakos, edited by the well-known saxophonist and composer Dimitris Tsakas. Entry to both events will be free, and more details will be announced soon.
