Last year, rumors swirled that Samsung would ditch the Galaxy Note line amid news that the Galaxy S series would receive S Pen support. And although a Samsung spokesman told the press back in December that the Galaxy Note series would continue in 2021, reports emerged that this was not the case.
A well-known netizen under the nickname Ice Universe, who often shares exclusive information about new products in the mobile industry, confirmed a few hours ago that the Galaxy Note line was buried, and the last Galaxy Note smartphone was released last year.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra was unveiled last week, and for the first time in the Galaxy S series, S Pen support was added. Samsung has also announced that more Galaxy phones will get S Pen support in the future. Since it was the presence of S Pen support that previously defined the Galaxy Note series, now it makes less and less sense in its existence.
Samsung has not yet officially announced that the company will no longer release the Galaxy Note series smartphones, so for now the information should be considered unofficial. However, Ice Universe has proven many times that it has contacts in the research and development department of the South Korean company Samsung.
