The enthusiast has fixed an annoying flaw in the Apple TV remote. All it took was a 3D printer

Everyone in this life was faced with the fact that they could not find a remote control from a TV or other household appliances. In order not to look for it for hours at such moments, enthusiasts have figured out how to make the remote control easy to find. One of the sellers on Etsy offers a $ 13 Apple TV remote cover that has a compartment for the AirTag tracker.

The case is custom made and 3D printed using PLA material. Customers are given several color options to choose from, including black, space black, white, gray and glow in the dark. The compartment at the bottom of the cover is designed to accommodate the AirTag, and, as indicated by the seller, the tag snaps into place easily. The case also has holes for charging the remote control. The only drawback of this design is that the case can reduce the volume of the built-in speaker.

The case is designed for the OEM remote control for Apple TV and Apple TV 4K models and is not suitable for old remotes or the new Siri Remote of the second generation. It is worth noting that this is a rather interesting idea that large manufacturers may adopt in the future. It’s strange though that a company like Apple still hasn’t made a search function for its remote.
