Radar Auto, a subsidiary of Chinese automotive giant Geely, has just unveiled its Radar D6 electric pickup truck, which is aimed at users with an active lifestyle. Then, however, the manufacturer did not say anything about prices, but today, September 30, the company opened pre-orders and, of course, spoke about prices, trim levels and specifications. The base version of the electric pickup is asking for only $25,260 (in RMB), so the vehicle looks more than affordable against potential competitors from American manufacturers.
In the basic configuration, the user receives a power reserve of 350 kilometers, which is certainly not enough. In fact, there will be about 300 km of real power reserve, so travel enthusiasts cannot go further than 150 kilometers from the nearest charging station – it is a very controversial pleasure to go to the mountains or the forest when the car is about to be discharged below 50%. Only in the top configuration, the user gets a power reserve of 610 kilometers, which should be enough for active travel outside the city, plus all versions of the pickup truck support fast charging technology – in 15 minutes at the “socket” the car gets 120 km of power reserve. True, it all depends on the power of the charging station.
