The European Union will increase humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to more than EUR 200 million.
The above was announced on Twitter by the President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stating, inter alia, that this assistance will be added to the Member States’ contributions to the people of Afghanistan.
“At today’s G7 Summit, I will announce an increase in humanitarian aid to Afghans, inside and outside the country, from the European budget, from € 50 million to over € 200 million. “This humanitarian aid is being added to the Member States’ contributions to aid to the people of Afghanistan,” the Commission President wrote on Twitter.

This humanitarian aid will come on top of Member States’ contributions to help the people of Afghanistan.
