The European Commission invests 910m euros to strengthen European defense and fill the empty capabilities

The European Commission is investing 910m euros in the context of the European Defense Fund 2024 “to create a strong and innovative defense industry in Europe”. As it became known today, these investments are intended to fill in basic gaps, such as forces mobility and defense with unmanned aircraft, through innovation and cooperation between European science and industry. An important parameter that for the first time, Ukrainian defense industries can be linked to projects of the European Defense Fund. “This investment will support 62 selected projects to create a strong and innovative defense industry in Europe,” said Commission spokesman Thomas Rinier.
