The European Parliament preparing to return to Strasbourg for the June Plenary Session, unless the epidemiological picture of coronavirus deteriorates.
As the representative of the European Parliament announced on twitter, President David Sassoli announced to the chairmen of the political groups that, apart from force majeure, The European Parliament will meet in Strasbourg in June.
Due to pandemic, The European Parliament is due to return to its official seat in Strasbourg in February 2020. If the Strasbourg Summit is finally held on June 7-10, it will be in a “hybrid form” (partly via video conference and partly in the semicircle), as in Brussels, according to the European Parliament’s press service.
President Sassoli informed political groups chairs that, barring exceptional circumstances, @Europarl_EN will return to Strasbourg for the June plenary session. This development is expected and made possible thanks to the current positive sanitary trend.
