The European Union has opened special fuel supply corridors in Ukraine

Ukrainian Prime Minister Dennis Smigal said today that the European Union had opened special corridors for fuel supplies to Ukraine, the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported, citing the government’s website, in response to a fuel sector. The issue of fuel market coverage was discussed at this conference.

“The European Union has set up so-called solidarity corridors for Ukraine. A similar tool was put into operation during the pandemic within Europe, when vaccines and medicines were being transported. The government is doing and will do whatever is necessary to give “The ability of companies to import fuel into the country. At checkpoints, fuel trains and fuel tankers is a top priority. We are also in talks about other modes of transport to expand our logistics infrastructure,” Smegal said.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister stressed that because the Russian invaders destroyed refineries and oil depots, there is a shortage of fuel in Ukraine. The government said Smigal, through the cabinet, all central agencies, customs authorities, and the border service, is assisting and helping businesses overcome this crisis in the fuel market. The state has already reduced VAT from 20% to 7% on petrol, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas and agreed on a zero excise tax rate on these items.

Dennis Smegal also said he had talks on supply chain liberalization with European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
