The European Union imposed sanctions for human rights violations in Crimea

Additional sanctions against six individuals for serious human rights violations due to their actions against members of ethnic groups in Crimeaannounced today the Council of the European Union.

The persons listed include acting prosecutors and judges who exercise their duties in courts established by the Russian occupying forces in Crimea. They played a role in imposing a prison sentence on a journalist who belongs to the Crimean Tatar community, as reported by APE-MPE.

The list also includes two members of her Federal Security Service Russian Federation (FSB) who either participated in the torture of the journalist or participated in the investigation against him, as well as against members of the Crimean Tatar community and Jehovah’s Witnesses in Crimea.
