It seems that the demand for the iPhone 14 Plus turned out to be worse than originally thought. The interest of buyers in the new model in the iPhone line is so weak that Apple was forced to suspend its production in order to overestimate demand.
According to media reports, Apple has contacted at least one of its iPhone assembly partners to immediately stop production of the iPhone 14 Plus. She also asked two suppliers to cut the production of components for the new smartphone by 90%. At the same time, Apple has instructed contractors to increase production of components for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Apple, for obvious reasons, does not comment on sales of the new generation iPhone. But it’s not hard to guess that many buyers don’t want to buy an $899 iPhone 14 Plus when adding $100 they can get an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPhone 14 Pro Max costs $200 more.
Despite the uncertainty about the production and sales of the iPhone 14 Plus, sources believe that Apple has not abandoned plans to release the iPhone 15 Plus next year along with other iPhone 15 models.
