The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has completed the audit of the co -founder of the Kraken crypto -tank Jesse Powell and returned the electronic devices withdrawn during the search.

The criminal investigation was launched in 2023 and concerned accusations of a hacker attack on the non -profit organization Verge Center for the Arts, founded by Powell in 2008. The accusations against Powell were not connected with his crypto projects or operations of Kraken crypto -tank, but concerned a dispute between a businessman with members of the Board of Directors of Verge Center for the Arts.

The Board of Directors claimed that Powell hacked the Verge computer systems and prevented access to the company’s postal servers. In 2023, the FBI conducted a search in Powell’s house and seized electronic devices on which digital assets belonging to him could be stored.

“The FBI search in the house was destructive both for me personally and my professional career. I am still shocked by the fact that the reason for the search was unreasonable accusations, ”Powell said.

Lawyer Powell, Brandon Fox, said that federal prosecutors notified him of the end of the investigation. The reasons why the US Department of Justice and the FBI has stopped investigation are not specified. Powell plans to file a civil lawsuit on compensation for moral and financial damage against the board of directors of Verge.

Earlier, the US Ministry of Justice announced the termination of the investigation against the Polymarket forecast platform, which was suspected of violating the laws on gambling.
