The US Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the theft of the laptop of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the storming of the Capitol on January 6. It is assumed that he could have been kidnapped by American Riley June Williams with the aim of selling the device to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service. Writes about this Politico.
Williams was seen in footage from the captured Capitol near Pelosi’s office, but now her location is unknown, the newspaper writes.
Politico also publishes an FBI document that claims on behalf of a witness that Williams allegedly did take a laptop or hard drive from Pelosi’s office.
The witness also claims that the transfer of the stolen computer device to Russia allegedly did not take place for unknown reasons – nevertheless, the defendant still owns the computer or destroyed it.
According to the FBI, Williams told her mother she was leaving for a couple of weeks without giving her destination.
