After successful initial production testing, the Apple iPhone 14 series has entered the Technical Testing (EVT) phase, according to Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu.
The Shenzhen lockdown is said to have had no effect on the production schedule, as the Foxconn plant in that location only accounts for 10% of global iPhone production. An engineering review is performed on the first engineering prototype to ensure that the product works and looks as intended. This means that the final specifications and design have been agreed upon.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to feature the new 4nm A16 Bionic chip and feature two new screen cutouts instead of notches. They will also likely have a more prominent camera bump to accommodate the 48MP camera.
The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max will likely feature Apple’s 5nm A16 chip, the same front and back design as the current regular models, and at least 6GB of RAM.
Jeff Pu also said that the starting price of the iPhone 14 will be close to that of the iPhone 13. He added that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will feature a 5x optical zoom periscope camera.
