The first details have surfaced about the Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom smartphones, which are due to be released next spring alongside the Xiaomi Mix 5.
Xiaomi continues to release lightweight models starting with the Xiaomi Mi 8 series. In 2022, Xiaomi will continue this series with the Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom. As in previous years, the Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom will be exclusive to the Chinese market, while the regular model will be launched in the global market.

Xiaomi 12 Lite will be powered by Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 780G +. It will have a triple camera with the main image sensor Samsung ISOCELL GW3, additionally will be installed ultra-wide-angle and macro lenses. The screen refresh rate will be 120 Hz at a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. According to the IMEI database, the device is codenamed taoyao and has model numbers 2203129I and 2203129G.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite will be codenamed zijin and model number L9B. It will be built on Snapdragon 778G or 780G +. The main sensor will be Samsung ISOCELL GW3, an ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lens will be additionally installed. The screen refresh rate will be 120 Hz at a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, the diagonal of the AMOLED screen will be 6.55 inches.

Both smartphones will be similar to Xiaomi Civi, they will be thin and light smartphones. The announcement is expected in March, out of the box they will run MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
