Motorola, now part of China’s Lenovo, today unveiled the first flagship smartphone in its long-lived Moto G series of smartphones.

The new product, called Moto G100, is a renamed and adapted for the international market of the Chinese model Motorola Edge S, which debuted in China at the beginning of the year. At one time, Motorola Edge S became the world’s first smartphone on the Snapdragon 870 and turned out to be a hit at the start of sales.

In turn, Moto G100 became the first Moto G smartphone based on a single-chip system of the Snapdragon 800 series – the hardware basis was the SoC Snapdragon 870.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels with an image refresh rate of 90 Hz, an embedded dual front camera (16 and 8 megapixels), a main camera with 64 megapixel, 16 megapixel, 2 megapixel and ToF modules, a side fingerprint scanner fingers, a 5000 mAh battery with support for 20 W charging, there is support for NFC and Wi-Fi 6.

The fresh Android 11 operating system is installed out of the box. There is a special button on the case for accessing Google Assistant. The smartphone supports the new Motorola Ready For mode, which allows you to connect your smartphone to a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

The Moto G100 can be purchased for 499.99 € for the 8/128 GB version. In the first regions, the smartphone will begin to appear today.
