The first looks of «Emily in Paris» make you dream of a holiday on the French Riviera

In the finale of the first season of Emily in Paris, we left Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, in Paris, undecided whether to stay alongside the Chief Gabriel or whether to leave for a weekend in Saint Tropez in the company of the business man Mathieu, grandson of the well-known designer Pierre Cadault.
From first trailer of the second season of the tv series, which will be available on the Netflix platform from 22 December, it would seem, however, that the American in Paris preferred to go on vacation to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, near Nice, with her friends Mindy e Camille. And according to a spoiler read right on the Instagram profile of the streaming giant, it would also seem that to invaghire Emily will be, once back in Paris, Alfie, played the actor Lucien Laviscount, who will meet in French class, «another non-Parisian, a boy who infuriates her and, at the same time, will intrigue her».

Plot aside, what struck us are the images of the very first looks that Emily & friends will wear, always created by the stylist before Carrie Bradshaw and now by Emily Cooper, Patricia Field. Those that immediately catch the eye are outfits with a more cosmopolitan aesthetic than Parisian, thanks to many ruffles, stripes, bold color combinations, platform sandals, designer accessories (ssimi) and daring mix and match.

The first look that made fans of the series fall in love with a summer mini dress with floral patterns, by Dolce & Gabbana, paired with a black and white bucket hat and a bucket bag with multiple vichy prints. The second look that has depopulated instead it is a blue maxi dress with V-neck and ruffles, of Magali Pascal, which the protagonist wears in front of the famous Saint-Tropez bar with Senequier red chairs, and which makes you dream of a holiday on the Côte d’Azur. More discreet – perhaps because the only Parisian of the group – is Camille, with its candid white and oversized blazers, its flat shoes and a touch of color right in the accessories. The friend, on the other hand, was explosive Mindy, all colorblock and sequined.

In short, now that Emily is increasingly integrated in Paris, the second season of Emily in Paris, conceived by Darren Star and Emmy nominated, we expect to see some of her looks, at least the office ones, with the typical taste à la parisienne but with the famous avant-garde flashes of Patricia Field, the same ones that still elevate the TV series today Sex and the city a fashion icon of the small screen.
