The Russian office of HMD Global has announced the release of a software update based on the fresh Android 11 operating system for Nokia 8.3 5G smartphones.
Nokia 8.3 5G was the first swallow among the brand’s smartphones to receive an update to Android 11. It was originally planned that Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 2.2 will receive a fresh version of the OS by the end of 2020. However, the wave of updates only started in February.
Among the innovations for Russian users, Nokia notes:
- Chat bubbles and Conversations tab for instant messaging
- One-time app permissions that can be revoked at any time
- Full voice access to all smartphone functions
- Music control directly from the “curtain”
- The ability to fall asleep and wake up to your favorite music
