The first president of TEKA was Nikolaos Tessaromatis

Mr. Nikolaos Tessaromatis, professor of Finance at EDHEC Business School, assumes the position of Chairman of the Board of the Auxiliary Capitalization Insurance Fund (TEKA) after the approval of his appointment by the Committee of Public Enterprises, Banks, Public Benefit Organizations and Social Security Agencies of the Parliament.

The choice of Mr. Nikolaos Tessaromatis – who was nominated for the position by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Panos Tsakloglou – was made in accordance with the procedure provided by Law 4826/2021 “Insurance Reform for the New Generation”, with strong guarantees of transparency and meritocracy. The aim is to select from the Candidate Selection Board, a Board of Directors composed of persons of high prestige and scientific training with significant experience and specialized knowledge, which will adequately respond to the increased operational and operational requirements of TEKA.

The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Panos Tsakloglou, stated:

“The competent committee of the Parliament today ratified the choice of Mr. Nikolaos Tessaromatis for the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEKA. I really believe that Mr. Tessaromatis is “the right person in the right position”, since he has not only great experience to show in the field of fund management of insurance organizations both in Greece and abroad, but also a notable academic career in the field of Finance.He was the CEO and Managing Director of EDEKT A.E.P.E.Y., he was an executive of important fund management companies in Great Britain (Gartmore Investment Management, NatWest Investment Management, Hermes Investment Management), while during the last decade he is a Professor of Finance at EDHEC Business School.I wish with all my heart to Mr. Tessaromatis and the members of the Board, the composition of which will be announced within the immediately following days, every success in the demanding work they undertake”.
