Qualcomm has unveiled its first smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. There are more than 1.6 million such fans and enthusiasts around the world.
The smartphone is priced at $ 1,500, with buyers also getting fully wireless Snapdragon headphones from Master & Dynamic, a smartphone case, a Qualcomm Quick Charge 5.0 charger and two charging cables.
The smartphone has a large 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels, which supports a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and supports the Always-on display mode.
By the design of the front panel, it resembles the previously released Meizu smartphones: the front camera with a resolution of 24 megapixels is located above the screen. At the rear, there is a triple camera with 64, 12 and 8 MP image sensors and 3x optical zoom, a fingerprint scanner and a luminous Snapdragon logo. Despite the fact that the fingerprint scanner is not located under the screen, it is a modern Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor 2nd generation, as in the Galaxy S21 series.
The smartphone is built on the basis of the Snapdragon 888 SoC, it received 512 GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device runs Android 11. The 4000 mAh battery supports Quick Charge 5.0 technology and fully charges in 50 minutes. The phone weighs 210 g.
The Snapdragon Insider Smartphone is designed to showcase all of Qualcomm’s software features that integrate with Qualcomm hardware. The smartphone will be manufactured and sold by Asus from August this year in China, USA, Germany, UK, Japan, South Korea and possibly India.
