Prior to the release of Mi 11, Xiaomi assured that this smartphone would be the exclusive Snapdragon 888 model for the Chinese market for a long time. In fact, the term of this exclusive is only 2 weeks, since sales of IQOO 7, also built on Snapdragon 888, will start on January 15 in China. And in a number of parameters it is even better than Mi 11.

Here, first of all, it means support for charging with a capacity of 120 watts. Mi 11 does not have this. Moreover, IQOO did not flirt with eco-marketing and included a corresponding 120W PSU in the package. It also has 65W PD certification and can be used to charge laptops. By the way, the length of the standard cable supplied is 1.5 m versus the standard 1 m.

The battery capacity is less than that of the Mi 11 – 4000 mAh, but due to twice fast charging, the smartphone charges faster: in just 15 minutes from 0 to 100%. Another important difference concerns the price: the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory is priced at $ 585, that is, it is about $ 20 cheaper than the Mi 11. The top variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash is $ 650, and so is it. more affordable than a similar version of Mi 11. As for the memory types, they are as fast as in Mi 11 – these are LPDDR5-6400 MHz and UFS 3.1.

The single-chip platform is the same Snapdragon 888, but there is one very important difference from Mi 11. This is the cooling system. While the Mi 11 has certain problems with heating (because of this, performance also suffers), the IQOO 7 should not have anything like that. The manufacturer claims that trotting is not about this model at all, and the evaporation chamber is the largest in the industry. Its area is 4096 mm2, while the industry average is 1700 mm2.

For game lovers, this is a very important point. And indirectly, by the way, he confirms the facts of strong heating of Snapdragon 888 in demanding applications, otherwise there would be no need to create such a large cooling system. Judging by the teaser, it is located differently than in Mi 11: if in the flagship Xiaomi the cooling system is for some reason hidden inside the case, then in IQOO 7 it is logically placed under the lid.

The main camera is represented by three sensors with a resolution of 48 (Sony IMX598 sensor, there is optical stabilization, a wide-angle lens), 13 (a portrait lens with a focal length of 50 mm) and 13 (ultra-wide-angle lens) Mp.

The novelty also received stereo speakers, “Super Audio” sound effects and “4D game vibration feedback”. There is a 5G modem (Snapdragon X60) and Wi-Fi 6. According to the AMOLED screen resolution, the IQOO 7 is not a competitor to the Xiaomi Mi 11 – here it is only 2400 x 1080 pixels. But the frame rate of 120 Hz is supported, the maximum brightness is 800 cd / m2. The polling rate of the sensor layer is 300 Hz. The screen is characterized by a diagonal of 6.62 inches and occupies 91.4% of the front panel area. The dimensions and weight of the smartphone are 162.2 x 75.8 x 8.7 mm and 209.5 grams.

Pre-orders for IQOO 7 in China will begin accepting the evening of January 11 local time. Real sales, as already mentioned, start on January 15th.
