The Avtomatika concern, a part of the Rostec state corporation, presented at the Army-2021 forum the first budget computer based on the domestic Elbrus-2S3 processor. This is a serial product that belongs to the lower price segment. The computer has a small size and high performance. At the same time, like other devices in the line, it provides reliable information protection and resistance to cyber attacks thanks to a special architecture and Russian development of computing cores. This was reported on the official website of Rostec.
The computer is equipped with a dual-core processor with a frequency of 2 GHz, created according to technological standards of 16 nm. It supports video encoding and decoding, contains a graphics controller with 3D acceleration and OpenGL, and can display images on three monitors at resolutions up to 4K. The device is also compatible with domestic operating systems.
The general director of the Avtomatika concern, Andrey Motorko, noted that such a computer “may be of interest to large state-owned companies and commercial enterprises that are interested in using a secure IT infrastructure to ensure reliable storage of information”. Engineering samples of reference motherboards are already available to software and device developers.
