The fact is that the first such smartphone was the ZTE Axon 30, but not from the first day of the start of sales. The ZTE Axon 30 was unveiled by the company on July 28, and sales started on August 3. Physically, the smartphone is equipped with 12 GB of RAM in the maximum configuration.

During the announcement, it was announced that the ZTE Axon 30 memory expansion technology is Memory Fusion Technology. However, until now, the technology has not worked on a smartphone.

Now ZTE has released a software update that activates the Memory Fusion technology on the smartphone, which allows you to add an additional 8 GB of the virtual partition created in the smartphone’s flash memory to the physical RAM. If we consider the most expensive version of the ZTE Axon 30 with 12 GB of physical RAM, then in total we get the same promised 20 GB. The base model with 6 GB of RAM will end up with 14 GB, which is also a lot.
