A few months ago, last September, ZTE unveiled the Axon 20 5G, which was the first smartphone with a sub-screen front camera. Now the company is preparing to release a new model with an improved sub-screen camera.
Ni Fei, president of ZTE’s smartphone division and president of Nubia Technologies, has officially confirmed in a post on Weibo that a new smartphone from the company with a camera located below the display surface will be released soon.

It is noteworthy that ZTE is preparing to release already a second model with a similar camera, while other companies including Samsung, Xiaomi and Oppo are still in the research and development stage, planning to release similar smartphones this year.
Presumably, the new ZTE smartphone will be released under the name ZTE Axon 30 5G. The company previously confirmed that ZTE will launch its flagship Axon 30 and Nubia Z30 series smartphones this year, powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
I would like to believe that ZTE will be able to improve the picture quality from the sub-screen front camera.
