The first space hotel will open in 2027 – How much will the accommodation cost

The first space hotel aspires to open a start up from California before the end of the current decade.

As reported by CNN, The company Orbital Assembly officially announced its plans to build the space hotel Voyager Station (in orbit around the Earth) in 2025 and to welcome the first space tourists in 2027.

The designs and models that were released show the influence of the architecture of the film “2001: The Odyssey of Space” by Stanley Kubrick. Voyager Station has restaurants, a cinema and rooms for almost 300 guests.

If the project progresses, the hotel will be located at an altitude of 550 kilometers above the Earth’s surface, in an orbit that will allow it to be continuously powered by the sun.

Orbital Assembly, which identifies itself as the first construction company for large-scale space projects, designs the Voyager Station in the shape of a “wheel” with a diameter of 200 meters and a weight that will exceed 2,400 tons.

The hotel will be three-storey with 24 separate areas that will be created around the “ring”. The luxurious suites will be 126 square meters and the cheapest rooms 30 square meters.

Tourists, of course, will have to undergo special training before boarding a rocket for Voyager Station that can simultaneously serve 280 guests with 112 crew members.

The nearly 4-day space travel package is expected to cost $ 5 million, an amount that may sound like a lot, but is cheaper than Axiom Space’s $ 55 million overnight stay on the International Space Station. [ΙSS].
