Britain’s King Charles today, Friday, asked Labor leader Keir Starmer to form a new government, following Labour’s sweeping election victory. Starmer, 61, a former human rights barrister who entered politics just nine years ago, traveled to Buckingham, accompanied by his wife Victoria. Moments later, in his first remarks as prime minister from Number 10 Downing Street, Keir Starmer stressed: “Whether you voted Labor or not, especially if you didn’t, we will serve you.” According to him, Britain needs to rediscover its identity and make a wider reboot, while he promised to fight to restore trust in politics and serve all voters. “It’s certainly clear to everyone that our country needs a broader reboot, a reinvention of who we are,” he said. “Make no doubt, the work for change begins immediately,” he continued.
