Olivia Wilde is turning out to be quite a multifaceted director and to show for it is the new teaser for her latest project, which appears to be full of suspense, drama, romance, and very intense scenes between Harry Styles and Florence Pugh.
Don’t Worry Darling, the new film starring the British singer and actress from Midsummer, is causing a stir in networks after Wilde shared a small video showing a little of this project that includes Chris Pine in its cast.
The teaser includes scenes of Pugh and Styles, as husband and wife, living in the 1950s in a community that seems to be perfect. However, the story will take a dark turn when Pugh’s character begins to become suspicious of her husband’s intentions and what he is doing with his employees.
Combining the sweet and idyllic style, characteristic of the 50s, with intimate and intense scenes between Styles and Pugh, as well as some disturbing moments where one woman drowns and another is with a plastic bag on her head, Don’t Worry Darling seems to be a thriller full of suspense.
Wilde will also appear in the film alongside Gemma Chan, Kiki Layne, Nick Kroll, Dita Von Teese, Timothy Simons, Ariel Stachel, and Kate Berlant. This will be the second film in which Styles appears after having participated in Dunkirk, directed by acclaimed director Christopher Nolan.
On the other hand, the long-awaited film will mark Pugh’s next project after having participated in Black Widow, Little Women and Midsummer. Don’t Worry Darling It will hit theaters on September 23, 2022.
