Xiaomi brought to the next test its first car on an electric platform. The Chinese electric car once again got into the lens of photo spies when it was tested in winter conditions on snow and ice.
At the wheel of one of the two test prototypes of the Xiaomi electric car, the head of the company, Lei Jun, was seen. The dense camouflage does not allow you to see the appearance of the car, but judging by the outlines of the body, it will be a sports sedan. Spies also noticed a LiDAR sensor on the roof of the car, which will be used for driver assistance systems or even for autopilot.

According to rumors, Xiaomi’s first electric car will be a mid-size sedan that will come in two different versions. Its premiere will take place at the end of 2023, and the first sales will start approximately in 2024. The estimated cost of the model in the domestic Chinese market will be from 260 to 350 thousand yuan (38-52 thousand dollars at the current exchange rate).
Earlier, sources reported that Xiaomi already has a ready-made prototype of an electric car, codenamed MS11, which is built on an 800-volt architecture. It is driven by an electric power plant with 250 kW or 354 hp.
