“The Flight Attendant” is canceled by HBO Max after two seasons

The “Flight Attendant” series, starring Kaley Cuoco, was canceled by HBO Max after two seasons.

The information was confirmed by the magazine Variety on Friday (19), which released a statement from the main actress:

“What started as a flashy book cover quickly became the extraordinary flight of a lifetime. I have always envisioned TFA as a limited series and I am grateful for an incredible creative team that we were able to deliver two exciting seasons,” expressed Kaley Cuoco.

“'The Flight Attendant' was a truly passion project and the reception from viewers and critics was impressive,” said series creator Steve Yockey. “Our unorthodox show really found people. As we move on to new projects, these two seasons of television and the incredible team of professionals behind them will always be at the top of my list.”

“The Flight Attendant” was based on the book of the same name by Chris Bohjalian. The first season premiered in 2020 and the second in 2022. Both received critical acclaim and were nominated for a Golden Globe and Emmy.

In the series, Cassie (Kaley Cuoco), the flight attendant, wakes up next to the corpse of a passenger on one of her international flights. She finds herself drawn into the mystery surrounding his death, even as she struggles with her own alcoholism.

Both seasons of “The Flight Attendant” are available on HBO Max.
