Sony introduced LinkBuds (WFL-900) wireless headphones in February 2022 with a very unusual design. Now it has become known about the preparation for the release of a new model in the LinkBuds series.
The original LinkBuds do not have silicone tips. They are fixed in the ears with silicone supporting arches. This design is intended not to isolate the user from noise, but rather to keep him “in contact” with the environment.
By contrast, the next generation of LinkBuds will be quite ordinary, according to fairly well-established network whistleblower SnoopyTech. On the published renders, the headphones look familiar and standard for their category. The model is called Sony LinkBuds S (WF-LSN900) and will be offered in at least two colors.
Pricing or release dates for future LinkBuds S are not yet known. Original Sony LinkBuds are $178 in the US.
