A… pizza became the occasion for cosmetic comments of one deliver to a client. A Texas woman has shared the moment a pizza delivery boy berated her over the $5 tip she gave him for an order she said cost only 20 dollars.
Lacey Purcival posted the video on TikTok, showing the driver she identified as Corey delivering the food to her house. The dealer can be seen ringing the bell and Purcival opening the door and welcoming him.
After nearly dropping the pizza while taking it out, Corey handed her the food while the woman thanked him enthusiastically. As he started to walk back to his car, the delivery guy turned and said, “I just want to say that’s a nice house for a tip of just $5.” “Thanks!” replied the obviously surprised Purcival. “come c@@@@”, said the delivery man as he left the house.
“So how much should I tip for a $20 pie?” Purcival captioned the TikTok video. According to her, the “small” tip which freaked Corey out amounted to 25% of the bill. Reactions to the video were strong, with many expressing disbelief at the delivery man’s behavior. “I guess he expected you to give him the house as a tip”one commenter wrote.
Many said Purcival should report him to DoorDash and void the five dollars she had already given him. She replied that she tried but the app wouldn’t let her.
“I tried but the app wouldn’t let me delete it. He needed it anyway, I hope he uses it wisely,” Purcival said. DoorDash did not respond to requests for comment from The Post.
