The French Government denies that it has been involved in the processes for the Conclave – the last session of the cardinals in progress

The French government today denied that it was involved, in any way, in the process that would lead to the election of the new Pontiff. The French cardinals, who will take part in the concussion, are five and, according to Italian press reports, French President Macron allegedly expressed the desire for the new Pontiff to come from his country or to be elected to the “diplomatic mobility” of Paris. “These are false news, we do not intervene in any way in the process of electing the new Pontiff,” French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Baro said on the RTL radio network. Meanwhile, this morning work began the twelfth and last meeting of the Cardinals, before tomorrow’s start of Conclavium. Most cardinals did not make statements to reporters and did not come to the pedestrian meeting room, such as in the past days, but by cars. Source: RES
