The Fumettibrutti trilogy becomes a TV series

After the great publishing success, the graphic novels trilogy Explicit Novel, P-My trans adolescence e Anesthesia, firm yes Bad comics and edited by Feltrinelli Comics, will become a TV series co-produced by Bim Produzione and Feltrinelli Originals and directed by Laura Luchetti, former director of Nudes. The series, written together with Luca Giordano and the advice of the same author Josephine Yole Signorelli, will try to tell, with unsettling authenticity and naturalness, the story of a girl from the Sicilian province who struggles to find her own path and appropriate her true identity.

Through dreams, sufferings, looks full of hate challenge, but also glitters capable of igniting unexpected hopes, Fumettibrutti has managed to bring us into a world – hers – in a cutting way, offering the most beautiful and authentic portrait of a fluid generation free from any label, gender and otherwise. The TV series, a story between biography and fiction, will move along this same line, in what has been called a “punk” adaptation consisting of 10 episodes of 30 minutes each.

The story will be set in the early 2000s between Catania and Bologna, and will follow the story, exciting and unfiltered, undertaken by Fumettibrutti to self-determine and embrace the freedom to be and decide for itself. The meeting between the author-director Laura Luchetti and the young artist combines two visions and two exceptional sensibilities to tell the story of Italian society and the evolution of youth culture with respect to topics such as gender identity, sex, love, inclusivity, diversity, integration and counterculture, amplifying in this project the ability of both to reach the general public with current stories and themes, still little explored by Italian television fiction.
