The future of the world also passes through a glass of water

We will be 10 billion in 2050 (UN estimates) and we must seriously begin to deal with the resources available to survive but also with the sustainability of our way of life. For example, have you ever thought about the difference drinking a glass of water can make? If it is bottled in plastic, it impacts the environment up to 300 times more than that delivered by a tap. A little bit we started to understand it, since we no longer leave the house without our water bottles, but the truth is that we can make the revolution right within the walls of the house.

That’s enough a microfiltered water system, technologically advanced and very easy to use, like Alma Green Family water. It has just been presented in a live streaming broadcast by Sonia Factory, the event space of the entrepreneur and food blogger Sonia Peronaci, during a webinar in which Acqua Alma (brand of the Celli Group), the ski champion Federica Brignone and The European House – Ambrosetti they talked about the strategies to consume this precious resource in a more conscious way, proposing simple and technologically advanced solutions.

Just like Alma Green Family water that, by simply pressing a button, allows you to have still, sparkling, cold water, room temperature. Its activated carbon filter improves the organoleptic characteristics of domestic water, including taste, but leaves the mineral salts almost unchanged. The result? Good water, in every sense.

A paradigm shift, which we in Italy particularly need: as explained in the position paper produced by The European House – Ambrosetti, with the support of the Celli Group (Smart Home 5.0: Economic, social and environmental analysis of the installation of water dispensers in Italian residential buildings), Italy is second in Europe for withdrawals of drinking water (153 m3 per capita per year, double the European average) and, despite the network water being among the best globally, we are the first country in the world for bottled mineral water consumption, with 8 billion plastic bottles consumed every year, of which only one third is recyclable. If, however, mains water dispensers were installed in all condominiums in Italy, families would save a total of 966 million euros per year (123 euros per family). Of these, 22% (211 million euros) would be generated only in Lombardy, thanks to the high concentration of large condominiums. At the same time plastic waste would be reduced by 138 thousand tons (for a saving of the Public Administration equal to 48 million euros) and greenhouse gas emissions would also be reduced by up to 1 million tons of CO2.

«I was very impressed and surprised to learn that although Italian mains water is among the best globally, we are the first country in the world for bottled mineral water consumption.. When I am away from home for competitions or training I try to use plastic bottles as little as possible, by refilling my Acqua Alma Smart Bottle, and if I am at home I have the pleasure of drinking sparkling and still water supplied by the Celli system installed in my kitchen ” – commented Federica Brignone.

«It was a pleasure – continued the champion – to present the fourth phase of my project“ Traiettorie Liquide ”and to have Mauro Gallavotti and the Celli team at my side, whom I thank for their support. In this new trajectory I wanted to tell about the collapse, due to pollution, that the glaciers of the planet are experiencing. Alongside Acqua Alma – continued Brignone – cI will continue to work to raise public awareness, especially children who are our best allies because they understand the importance of the problem very well and encourage adults to behave in a more respectful way ».
