Just when they were assessing whether they would tip him, they opted to leave him the 20 Mexican peso bill (approximately one dollar) that they had been given as change after paying for their consumption on the spot.
When they were going to leave the establishment, the waitress went out to meet them to return the money and tell them that the establishment only accepted a minimum tip of 10 percent of consumption.
Outraged, they could not believe that the waitress had dared so much, because apparently she was not aware that her service had not been good. The boys found it incredible that instead of being thankful, he still had the luxury of despising what they gave him.
