In June, passenger traffic at Athens Airport amounted to 2.43 million, down 6.8% compared to June 2019 traffic.
Domestic passenger traffic was down just 0.6%, while international passenger traffic saw a single-digit decline of 9.6%, compared to 2019.
Accordingly, at a 6-month level, the airport’s passenger traffic reached almost 9 million and remained reduced by 20.3%, compared to 2019.
Domestic passengers remained below 2019 levels by 13.2%, while international passengers by 23.5%.
Regarding the number of flights during the first six months of 2022, they amounted to 91,368, registering a decrease of 9.5%, compared to 2019.
Both domestic and international flights remained down compared to 2019, by 0.9% and 15.8% respectively.
However, in June, domestic flights were up 3.3% compared to June 2019, while international flights were down 8.5%.
