The German economy will contract by -5.5% in 2020 compared to -7.1% observed in June

The German economy is expected to contract 5.5% on an annualized basis compared to a 7.1% drop seen in June, the Bundesbank said in an update of its macroeconomic projections.

“The German economy is expected grow 3.0% in 2021 compared to 3.2% observed in June. “

“The Bundesbank projects a German growth in 2022 of 4.5% compared to 3.8% seen in June“.

“The Bundesbank predicts that inflation measured by the German harmonized CPI stands at 1.8% in 2021 compared to 1.1% observed in June and 1.3% in 2022 compared to the 1.6% observed in June “.
