Economy Minister Robert Habeck today called on Russian dissidents seeking to flee Vladimir Putin’s regime to come to Germany. He warned, however, that measures should be taken “so that the country is not filled with spies”.
“We can really take advantage of the Russians in Germany. We have to offer jobs to those who either want to leave Russia or have already left and do not want to return,” said Mr Habeck. barriers to employment and recognition of professional qualifications must be removed. In addition, the Ministry of the Interior should take care that “the wrong people” do not come to Germany and end up “filling the country with spies”.
