Newly inaugurated President Donald Trump promised to “put America first” as he marked a new chapter for the country in his inauguration speech this Monday (20).
“America’s golden age begins now,” Trump said in his speech.
At the beginning of his speech, Trump thanked several former presidents present and outgoing president Joe Biden.
“From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again throughout the world. We will be the envy of all nations and will not allow them to take advantage of us any longer,” Trump said.
