Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks, has published high-quality renders of the promising Google Pixel 5a smartphone. This model, along with the Pixel 5, was expected in the fall, but for some reason Google delayed the debut of the Pixel 5a.
This is the first time we can look at a smartphone with such high-quality images, but we cannot see something new here. Distinguishing the Pixel 5a from the current Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will be very problematic, since both models have a dual main camera and a front camera embedded in the left corner, as well as a fingerprint scanner located on the rear panel. Either Google has a crisis of ideas, or the company wants to confuse users well.
According to an insider, the dimensions of the Pixel 5a are 156.2 x 73.2 x 8.8-9.4 mm, and the back panel is most likely made of plastic (which, as we know from Samsung flagships, is not so bad ).
The Pixel 5a gets … the same 6.2-inch Full HD + OLED screen as the Pixel 4a 5G. Main camera with two modules and an additional sensor, which, apparently, is used in the phase detection autofocusing system. And here is nothing new in comparison with the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G … The configuration of the smartphone also includes a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, a rear fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
The insider is full of skepticism about the Pixel 5a, which is understandable: releasing a third identical-looking smartphone is nonsense by modern standards. But there is hope that this will change with the release of the Pixel 6.
As for the veracity of these renders, there is no doubt about it. Steve Hemmerstoffer has proven himself to be a reliable source on more than one occasion. So, earlier he had already published reliable renders of smartphones Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra long before their official premiere.
