“The Great Interview”: new film with Gillian Anderson gets trailer; look

Netflix released, on Monday (18), the official trailer for the film “The Big Interview”, starring Gillian Anderson, who starred in “Sex Education”, “The X-Files” and “The Crown”.

The plot, inspired by a true story, is adapted from the book “Scoops: Behind The Scenes of the BBC's Most Shocking Interviews” and shows behind the scenes of an interview by Prince Andrew with the BBC's Newsnight newspaper.

At the time, Elizabeth II's son was heavily demanded by British public opinion to explain his links to the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew lost most of his royal titles due to association with him.

“The Big Interview” retraces the steps taken by Sam McAlister, a producer at the British broadcaster, and Emily Maitlis, the journalist who did the interview, to get an appointment with the prince and put him against the wall with incisive questions.

The film is directed by Philip Martin, from “The Crown”, and is due for release on April 5th.

Andrew appeared on Jeffrey Epstein's list

A woman who says she was a victim of late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein claimed Prince Andrew placed his hand on her breast at Epstein's Manhattan home in 2001, according to court documents from a civil case unsealed in January.

The affair, which was previously reported and Andrew denied, is among the details revealed in a series of previously redacted documents.

Epstein socialized with Wall Street figures, royalty and celebrities before pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008. He committed suicide in 2019 at age 66 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

Dozens of women have accused Epstein of forcing them to have sex with him and his guests on his private island in the Caribbean and at homes he owned in New York, Florida and New Mexico.
