Green (and black) thumbs of Italy, unite: returns to Rome this week on Green and Landscape Festivalat the Auditorium Parco della Musica from 13 to 15 May. Three days of events dedicated to nature, a sustainable lifestyle and reflection on the role of the landscape in our cities, and on how their relationship can contribute to the redefinition of individual and collective identity, create a new economy and new opportunities for the territories. She is convinced of it Gaia Zadra, director of the Festivalwhich underlines the need to “rethink the city through a renewed mental representation, individual and collective, redefine our behavior and transmit a cultural habit with the landscape, to inhabit places and not spaces”.
So many are the appointments that decline, each in a different way, the idea behind the festival: there is the Flower Design workshop for the creation of a completely natural centerpiece using wildflowers, lavender, dahlias, branches and leaves, or (for those who just can’t make any plant survive in the house) the origami mini-course at the end of which a practically eternal bouquet of flowers can be created, and which does not even have to be watered, on the contrary! It’s still, the botanical drawing lesson and that dedicated to the knowledge of color, and the use we make of it in our homes. But there are also experts ready to suggest the most suitable plant for everyone’s abilities, the Pilates meetings to improve, with a little, some aspects of our daily life, the botanical mixology lessons (have you ever tried Vermouth with a fruit infusion?)the presentations of books (Friday afternoon it turns out how Cooking the garden month by month by Valeria Margherita Mosca). There are also many appointments designed for children, budding mini gardeners: Dacosanascecosa is dedicated precisely to the little ones who, alone or together with adults, will be able to experience old street games or discover what hides behind the bark of a treeor how to build a real hotel for insects and, why not, then participate in a quiz together with the older ones.
And then, of course, at the Festival del Verde e del Paesaggio it will be possible to visit the exhibition market that brings over one hundred exhibitors to the terraces of the Auditorium.by companies specializing in plants and garden furniture to honey producersfrom nurseries to the artisans who make baskets or garden aprons. Looking at your balcony devoid of plants, have you decided that you should plan a visit to the festival? Participating is simple: from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 admission is allowed from 10 to 20. The ticket costs twelve euros (but it is free up to 12 years; there is also the possibility of purchasing a season ticket for the entire event) and you can buy it in advance by following this link.
In short, there are no more excuses: at the end of these three days, even the poorest gardeners will have some hope. In case, they will at least be able to buy a ceramic cactus, the one that is truly eternal.
