matcha is a Green Tea ground, from the herb camellia sinensis, which comes in powder form and, for drinking, is dissolved in water or milk. In the preparation of sweets, in addition to taking shape in creams, puddings, cakes and ice creams, it is also sprinkled to give it its beautiful and characteristic green color.
In Brazil, matcha is still a “new” ingredient for many people. With thermogenic, calming and antioxidant properties, it’s a great excuse to eat a candy with matcha – has properties that are good for health.
The fact is that there are places, people and desserts that deserve to be highlighted in the use of this true green delicacy in the pastry shop. Check it out below addresses in São Paulo (and an extra tip in Rio de Janeiro) to enjoy sweets with matcha.
