THE Tiktok is really starting to look like the new television . Just like last year with “Who Tf Did I Marry”, in which Tareasa “Reeses Teesa” Johnson told his version of how his wedding went very wrong, one New “series” with several episodes is dominating the internet .
This time, it is “The Group Chat ”(“ The Group Chat ”), in which 27 -year -old Tiktoker Sydney Robinson plays several characters involved in a group conversation.
The plot
The action of the series revolves around a fictional group of friends trying to organize a dinner – but one of them, Hailey, wants to take her boyfriend, Justin.
“Justin had such a difficult day and I don’t want to leave him alone,” writes Hailey in the group.
Some of the other women in the group are not happy with the idea of the unwanted escort.
“Is she joking? Will you try to bring her boyfriend again?” Says one of the characters, clearly annoyed.
What follows is an attempt to suspect Justin… and more drama.
Robinson told the Today program that he had the idea of doing the series on Tiktok after watching an episode of “Jersey Shore: The Originals” during a Las Vegas flight last summer. In the episode, the participant Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino warns of the group that he was released from prison.
“He sends a message saying he’s free, and the rest of the cast is on vacation in a sleeping house, and that reactivates the group. Reactivates the whole group,” she said. “Everyone wakes up, looks at the message, and only his name appearing on the screen already causes a general shock. I thought, ‘That’s it. This feeling.’

Apparently, the plot is relatable and went viral since the first video was posted on March 30.
It caught the eye so much that even the UPS Tiktok account commented, “Silence everyone … my show started.” Several celebrities also reacted, including Bethenny Frankel, Leslie Jones, Hailey Bieber and Charlie Puth.
Bieber’s interest drew even more attention because some followers thought the main characters were based on the influencer and her husband, Justin Bieber. However, according to Robinson, the character Hailey is inspired by Haley James Scott of the “One Tree Hill” series, not Mrs. Bieber.
Charlie Puth’s comment made Robinson shocked.
“I’m very invested in this…” commented Puth in the second episode. Robinson replied, “Sorry, I can’t do part 3 – I just died.”
Robinson said he was dozing after posting part two and woke up with several lost calls from his mother, who was traveling abroad.
“She called me kind of a hundred times and said, ‘Charlie Puth commented on her video,” Robinson told Today. “And I answered, ‘No, to. Lie.'”

Episode Quatro was so awaited that Robinson caused followers with a trailer.
It was worth the wait: the fourth chapter shows the group meeting in the restaurant where – plot twist – Justin appears in a totally unexpected way.
What’s more, who gives voice to Justin is none other than Charlie Puth – something Robinson tried to keep it secret, but many fans recognized it on the spot.
She said she was surprised by the fact that he ranks participating after they talked for messages about his interest in the skits.
“I have no idea why this giant of the music industry, with 22 million followers, would want to be part of my” Group chat “sketch,” she said.
Not that Robinson is not winning his own fans either: she already has over 1.2 million followers, and the videos of “The Group Chat” already add up to over 77 million views.
