The hacker talent is far from always in hand with the traders. This was once again proved by an attacker who managed to lose $ 6.9 million in trade transactions earlier in the course of hacker attacks.
The Lookonchain team drew attention to the unsuccessful attacker. In their X, analysts told how exactly the hacker acted, who is poorly versed in trading.
This story happened with the owner of the crypto -cutter 0x17e0e39DA162E17AFC566F835FE41A5DF56E4EA5. According to different aggregators, he belongs to a fraudster who can be associated with some hacking and theft of cryptocurrencies. This is what the analysts Lookonchain noticed:
- The wallet 0x17e0, presumably belonging to the hacker, received 12,282 ETH (• $ 23.72 million) through Thorchain and Chainflip three months ago.
- After the owner of the wallet, he sold coins at a price of $ 1,932 per eth.
- On July 1, the fraudster bought 4 958 ETH back (≈ $ 12.37 million) at a price of $ 2,495 per ETH.
As a result, the loss from operations amounted to $ 6.9 million.
Participants in the crypto community did not miss the opportunity to make fun of the actions of the unsuccessful hacker who believed in themselves and decided to earn extra money on trading.
There were also those who believe that laughter over hackers in such a situation is groundless. Network users drew attention to the fact that the fraudster used for trading not his own, but stolen money, which means formally he did not lose anything.
