“The Handmaid’s Tale” debuts with maximum critics approval; See reactions

The sixth and last season of the series “The Handmaid’s Tale” debut in the United States for the streaming Hulu on Tuesday (8). The new episodes arrive in Brazil, in turn, exclusively by the Paramount+ platform on Wednesday (9).

The expert critics have already had a chance to watch at least the first eight episodes. At Rotten Tomatoes, a website that brings together the opinions of the renowned critics, the last season emerged with 100% approval.

Among the comments, the performance of the still powerful cast is evoked, the direction of Elisabeth Moss-as well as protagonist, the actress also directed some episodes-and the strong emotional burden, already seen in previous seasons.

“The Handmaid’s Tale is still more than able to create images of nightmare and emotionally powerful sequences. Moss has perhaps became the best director of the series, as well as anchoring a still powerful cast,” wrote Daniel Fienberg of The Hollywood Reporter.

“This final season is extremely marathyable, and each episode has a rapid pace, with at least a few prominent dramatic moments in each,” said Lauren Thoman of The Wrap.

“Spectators are required to suspend disbelief for certain stories to work. However, memorable performance, beautiful cinematic and the emotions that the show continues to make up for these moments,” wrote Ambar Dowling of Globe and Mail.

“There is a sense of purpose and urgency that has been lacking especially last season, as well as a very cinematic execution, from Adam Taylor’s inspiring soundtrack and some effective Radiohead needles,” said Tara Bennett of Av Club.

In Brazil the first two episodes of production will initially be released. The other eight will be released one at a time, weekly, until June 4th.

The new season of the series “The Handmaid’s Tale” brings the determination of June (Elisabeth Moss) in the struggle to defeat Gilead once and for all. While Luke (OT FAGBENLE) and moira (Samira Wiley) join resistance, Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) tries to reform the regime from the inside.

At the same time, Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) and Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) face their own dilemmas and nick (Max Minghella) is subjected to hard tests of character. The new episodes highlight the importance of hope, courage, solidarity and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.
