The head of Franklin Templeton told what he keeps in his crypto portfolio

Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has publicly disclosed her cryptocurrency investments. In an interview with the magazine Fortune she listed the assets that were in the wallet.

According to the source, Johnson owns Bitcoin, Ethereum, as well as native tokens of the Uniswap and SushiSwap exchanges.

“These investments represent a small portion of my overall portfolio,” said CEO Franklin Templeton.

Meanwhile, Johnson is not investing in purchasing non-fungible tokens (NFTs). She favors “mature investments with clear financial returns.”

CEO Franklin Templeton believes that blockchain technology will help democratize private markets, among other benefits. According to Johnson, it eliminates the costs associated with processing transactions.

On December 4, 2023, Bitcoin crossed the $42,000 mark, and the capitalization of the asset reached its maximum since March 2021. Most altcoins, including UNI and SUSHI, also showed growth, according to the data. CoinMarketCap.

Franklin Templeton manages more than $1.5 trillion in assets. In September 2023, it filed an application to list a spot Bitcoin ETF with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In November, the regulator postponed a decision on this application.

“I think there is definitely demand for Bitcoin. I think a spot ETF is the best way to get exposure to this asset,” Johnson said.
