The head of Kurdish-led forces in Syria, Mazloum Abdi, denied any link to the recent attack near Ankara, contrary to claims by Turkey which launched attacks killing 17 people in the Kurdish autonomous regions of northeastern Syria. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that the two perpetrators of the attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) headquarters near Ankara “infiltrated” Turkey from Syria. The Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the PKK, claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed five people besides the two attackers and injured 22. “Turkey has no evidence to support its claims and we have nothing to do with Ankara’s attack,” said Mazloum Abdi, head of the Syrian Democratic Forces. “They have conducted an investigation and I am able to confirm that none of the perpetrators entered Turkey from Syrian territory,” Mazloum said in an interview.
